I'm the voice of the ocean, and my language is pictures.

When it comes to the ocean, I feel deep love for every drop of water and any life it contains. All my life, there was an urge to connect with it. Now, finally, I’m here. What I see is endless beauty beyond words.
And I see destruction. It makes me sad, and sometimes it paralyzes me. I feel like a lonely fighter trying to help the sea. What helps me is to focus on what I can do: to let images speak.
To start conversations. To be curious  about others, their perspectives, and their own experiences with the ocean.

Underwater is a calm and peacefull world.

If you are able to let go, and be in the present moment, it will always be beautiful.

"When I was a child, I was afraid of water. I went with my sister to Tunisia when I was 8/9. I was not afraid to go to the ocean and collect shells, and soon I was with a trainer, and he helped me just by letting me float through the sea. Next time in a pool, we did the same, and he asked me to just let a little bit of air out of my floaties. I did it myself, little by little. Without realising, I was swimming just with my empty floaties. When they told me, I got scared, but this moment of knowing I already had been swimming helped me to overcome my fear in the end, and I started to swim."

An encounter with an animal, whether it's a jellyfish or a turtle, always amazes me. Creatures expectin nothing in return.
We just exchange the gift of presence.

I started Freediving because I wanted to spend as much time as possible underwater.

"It doesn’t matter to me whether I’m diving at a reef or in a river back in Germany, everything interests me and fascinates me in its own unique way. That’s why I never go into the water without my mask. I’m always afraid I might miss something wonderful.

I also turn toward the difficult topics, like coral bleaching, or the trash in rivers and oceans and I give my time and attention to raise awareness and hopefully make a difference."
